Because of Salvation... Today Is Your Best Day

Today Is Your Best Day... Because of Salvation

This book (Today Is Your Best Day) was written to those who have received Jesus Christ by faith as their Lord and Savior, and who have committed their lives to walk daily with Him. If you have never turned your life over to Jesus Christ, and do not know the meaning of forgiveness for your sins, I have written the following section for you.

Salvation means that God has made everything that is right, true, loving, and good available to you through His Son, Jesus Christ. Salvation is God's good news to your heart, your life, and your future.

Salvation means a new life; victory and deliverance from the pain and judgment of sin; freedom from the bondage of Satan and the powers of darkness; peace, joy and fellowship with God. It means that God's will ha become your will; that God's plans are your plans; that God's blessings are your blessings.

Salvation means that God has not said to you, "I want you to work your way to Me. I want you to try to save yourself by being good." Instead, God has said to you, "You don't have to work your way to Me, because I have come to you. I sent My Son to earth to die for you, be buried for you, and rise from the dead for you. He shed His blood on the cross so that your sins can be forgiven."

Salvation is God's free gift to you because of His grace and mercy. You cannot earn it. Salvation can only be received by faith alone in Jesus Christ.

Salvation also brings you the hope of eternal life. Salvation means that you will not be lost, or have to pay the penalty for your sins, because Jesus has paid that penalty by dying in your place. It means that you have escaped eternal condemnation and separation from God, and will have a home with Him in heaven forever.

You can receive the gift of salvation at this very moment. Turn now from your sins, ask God to forgive you, and open your heart to Jesus Christ. By faith, receive Him as your Lord and Savior. Ask Jesus to save you this very moment.

As you do, today will truly be your best day!

It is my prayer that God will use Today Is Your Best Day to bless, encourage, and enrich your life.

Merry Christmas

I've been really busy, and not busy enough. My heart has been breaking in unexpected places the past few months...friends passing away unexpectedly, illnesses attacking loved ones, me missing kids and grandkids, and not wanting to feel nostalgic for all the sadness around my heart right now. I feel tender and raw...vulnerable. I cry at the drop of a hat, even over silly things, like TALKING about not watching a movie that would make me cry...not even watching that movie. Just talking about it. Oh dear! I did want to touch base though as we approach Christmas...all the sadness is making me draw even nearer to Jesus, because He is my hope (and the hope of the world). I've enjoyed my time of Advent, singing in the choir at church, baking cookies for friends and neighbors. It helps me to shift gears emotionally and mentally when I can change it up a bit and do something new. And in God's goodness, He is allowing us to do something new for Christmas! I'll share the detai
