A book I've been reading...

A few months ago...too many really...I started to read a book that was recently released by Thomas Nelson Publishing written by Max Lucado called "His Name is Jesus". Since it's got a really nice "extra" box sleeve for it, I was thinking that it would make a great gift, but I quickly realized that it's really got some great content for ME in it too.

I love Max Lucado's style in writing in general, from his kids book to his studies and devotionals, and His Name is Jesus is written in that same, easy to read, flow. The balance of informational/instructional writing with his gentle, encouraging words, make it SO easy to read. I learned a lot, and loved every moment of it, feeling as if I were being gently led down a path to a great destination.

I was comfortable in that this book is not anything controversial, not political or antagonistic in view. Just a really good book in a great package. I am really pleased with it, and would recommend it to others.

This book will make a great gift for someone, but I'll have to buy another one to give, as this one is all mine!
